Since April 2022 we have had no-fault divorce. This has taken awau a whole layer of complexity to getting your divorce done. Does it mean it’ll be easy? No. But it will be more straightforward to apply and it’s even easier to do this yourself without using lawyers to do it for you. 

04 Understand the financial remedy process

Understanding how the legal system deals with your money on divorce is crucial. If you haven’t been the money manager in your relationship its even more important. Learn to recognise fact from fiction and the importance of ‘knowing your numbers’ before you start negotiating.

I’ll let you into a secret: lots of ladies just like you aren’t sure. I’ve yet to work with a lady who flippantly decided to leave her husband. Leaving is a big decision. Leaving feels confusing, scary and a bit like a failure.

Making the right decision is important, isn’t it? You want to know that you won’t look back with regret. You want to know that leaving is better than staying, even though you know the middle bit might not be a bed of roses.

How long do I have access to the course materials?

All the workbooks are downloadable and are yours forever. 

What format is the course content delivered in?

The programme materials are shared weekly and include eight workbooks. We’ll meet together for 8 weeks (spread over ten) via a zoom call to discuss the section of the week and answer your questions. Our calls will start at 8pm and be finished by 9pm. You’ll receive your workbook in advance so it acts as a companion to your reading. 

Will the programme be easy?

Divorce is never easy. This course is designed to help you be as prepared as you can be so that when times get tough, you can return to the plan you made during the course and follow it whatever your mood or emotional state. It will support you to make sound emotional and financial decisions, to respond rather than react.

How much time do I need to invest?

You’ll get out what you put in. If you invest a few hours a week, you should start to make progress. If you only dip into the materials and miss group calls, your progress will be slower. We strongly recommend that you make time to join the weekly group call.

When does How to Be a Lady Who Leaves: From Overwhelm and Doubt to Confidence and Clarity start and when does it end?

How to Be a Lady Who Leaves: From Overwhelm and Doubt to Confidence and Clarity starts on Monday 25th September 2023. The last taught class is Monday 27th November 2023 this means you’ll be finished before the Christmas December rush and, if you’re waiting until January to leave you will be ready. There is a two-week break with no classes 23rd and 30th October 2023

How much does it cost?

The investment into How to Be a Lady Who Leaves: From Overwhelm and Doubt to Confidence and Clarity is just £225 (that’s £3.52 per day over the 10 weeks) for the full 8-week programme. You’ll need a copy of How To Be a Lady Who Leaves The Ultimate Guide to Getting Divorce-Ready which can be downloaded on Kindle or through your audio-book store. Want a physical copy? Send me an email and I’ll send you one free of charge (unfortunately free copies cannot be given in other formats). 

Will my spouse find out I’m in the programme?

We do not disclose the names of any members of this programme. However, we strongly recommend that you put your safety first and ensure that you are the only person who has access to your email account, social media accounts, web browser on either a mobile device or computer.

I am experiencing domestic abuse, is it safe for me to join this programme?

How to Be a Lady Who Leaves: From Overwhelm and Doubt to Confidence and Clarity programme is NOT a domestic abuse support programme although if you are experiencing abuse you will benefit from being part of the programme. `we advise that you should also seek additional support. 

Therefore, please book a call with Emma privately to discuss your particular circumstances so I can help you decide if this programme can help you. If this programme isn’t right for you now, I will recommend alternative resources.

What if I am unhappy with the programme?

If you are genuinely unhappy with your decision to join How to Be a Lady Who Leaves: From Overwhelm and Doubt to Confidence and Clarity, please contact us within 14 days of payment. Please note that if you have received workbooks and joined any of the group calls  we will not be able to offer a full refund. Please note that refunds will be made pro-rata to the amount of time you’ve been on the course to a maximum of 14 days. Cancellation after 14 days  no refund will be given. If you choose to cancel you will no longer have access to the group calls or workbooks.

Is this course for women only, or can men join too?

I'm not in England or Wales, can I join this programme?

It depends. I would recommend that you contact me directly to discuss your particular circumstances so that I can advise you. This programme has been designed specifically about the divorce process in England and Wales. You can get divorced under the jurisdiction of England and Wales if you are either domiciled in the UK but live abroad or you are habitually resident but live abroad.  However, if you are Scottish, and live in Scotland the programme probably isn’t for you.

How much is a Clarity Day with Emma?

A Clarity Day with Emma is a full day of 1:1 Coaching plus a written plan. The cost is £2000.
